  • Director of Children’s, Youth & Family Ministries

    Hours: 29 per week

    Responsibilities:

    • Have a passion for ministry in serving Christ and teach others the love of Christ.
    • Provide discipleship ministries for children, youth and family ministries.
    • Foster Biblical and Spiritual Development with our Children, Youth and Families
    • Develop and implement Biblically based programs and have volunteers to help with Wednesday Evening activities.
    • Provide outreach ministries in the community.
    • Recruiting, training, and implementing volunteers for all aspects of these ministries.
    • Become a Safe Sanctuary Trainer to train staff and volunteers.
    • Oversee hiring and work of our nursery/children employees.
    • Have once a week programs with our Methodist Children’s Learning Center pre-K program.
    • Have once a week programs for our after-school ministry program.
    • Have once a month program with our Home School Program.
    • Oversee volunteers and teach children and youth for Sunday School and Children’s Church.
    • Recruit and teach our weekly acolyte’s and the child who leads the Lord’s Prayer for worship.
    • Recruit and encourage our children to go to Church summer camp.
    • Lead and recruit volunteers for VBS for the community and the pre-school.
    • Ability to connect and build meaningful relationships with the kids and their families.
    • Communicates weekly with parents and children; writes a monthly newsletter article; publishes events on our Facebook page, website and other social media.
    • Be able to pass a criminal background and driving test.
    • Flexible and able to work under pressure.
    • Very good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Team player with other staff, volunteers and church members.
    • Flexible hours.
    • And all other assigned duties by the pastor.
