CSD Scholarships
CSD Scholarship Assistance –
Thanks to the generosity of CSD alumni, a scholarship fund is available to assist current students with tuition costs. Eligible students may receive support for one weekend per year during their time in the program. Please note that scholarships do not cover travel or lodging expenses.
Request Process
- Requests must be submitted at least 30 days before a weekend for which assistance is requested.
- The scholarship committee aims to respond within 7-10 business days of receiving your request.
- Award amounts may vary based on the number of applicants and available funds.
- Scholarships are non-transferable and cannot be applied to future weekends if missed.

Making Scholarship Donations/Gifts to the Certificate in Spiritual Direction Fund
Many graduates have supported the scholarship to glorify God in response to their experience in the CSD program. Support our current students in the Spiritual Direction program by making a donation any time!
To set up an online one-time or recurring donation please use the button below and follow these steps:
1. Enter the amount of your donation.
2. Select "SMU Fund for Perkins" as your gift designation.
3. Click "Give Now."
4. Select your Gift Option, click "Next"
5. Enter "Certificate in Spiritual Direction" in the "Tell us what inspired your gift" field.
6. Click "Submit"
7. Follow the prompts to check out and complete your donation.
