Introduction to Spiritual Direction Webinar
Thursday, May 14, 2026 OR Monday, June 15, 2026
Spiritual direction is the sacred practice of accompanying another as they listen for God’s presence and invitation in their lives. But what does that actually look like—and how is it different from counseling or coaching?
In this three-hour introductory webinar, you’ll explore the heart of spiritual direction as a contemplative ministry grounded in compassionate listening and prayerful presence. Together we’ll clarify what spiritual direction is—and what it is not—while considering the essential boundaries that distinguish it from therapy and other helping professions.
The session includes guided prayer and reflective exercises that allow participants to experience the slow, attentive presence at the heart of spiritual direction. If you are curious about spiritual direction, discerning a call to this ministry, or longing to deepen your capacity for sacred listening, this session will offer clarity, experience, and a grounded next step.
