Hillel Bavli’s article, Causal Sets in Antidiscrimination Law, has been accepted for publication in the Iowa Law Review.  The article has also been selected for the Michigan Junior Scholars Conference and for the annual conference of the Berkeley Center on Comparative Equality and Anti-Discrimination Law.

Lolita Buckner Inniss’ co-authored article “Talking about Black Lives Matter and #Metoo” was recently published in the Wisconsin Journal of Law, Gender & Society. The paper grew out of a conference she co-chaired at the University of Wisconsin in Spring 2019.

Natalie Nanasi was featured on the New Friends New Life “Trafficking Tuesdays” podcast on February 18th, and she was quoted on March 1st in the Dallas Morning News’ editorial, “How important is clemency for trafficking victims? Let one tell you.”  She was a panelist for “Voice Your Vote: Life, Liberty, and the Right to Safe Schools” on February 14th at the BBYO International Conference.  She gave a talk, entitled “The Evolution of Women’s Rights in the Legal System,” on February 26th at the Genesis 13th Annual Lecture Series.  Natalie was also interviewed for a short film, “To Be A Citizen”, about the U.S. immigration system; her interviews start at the 1:50 and 4:30 marks.  The film won 2nd place in a C-SPAN documentary competition.

Eric Ruben was interviewed by Connecticut Public Radio about the Supreme Court’s decision not to intervene in litigation regarding the federal ban on bump stocks.  The story aired on March 2nd on CT Public Radio and affiliated stations.  Read the related print story here.

Marc Steinberg was appointed Visiting Scholar (March 2020) at the University of Auckland School of Law.  On March 10, 2020, he presented Insider Trading  --  A Comparison Between New Zealand and the USA at University of Auckland School of Law.
