Jo-Ná A. Williams, Esq. is an award-winning attorney, founder, advisor, and Instructor who founded J.A. Williams Law P.C. in 2011 to provide entrepreneurs and thought leaders with ways to successfully navigate their careers, secure their companies, and provide assistance with business and intellectual property matters. She founded her coaching company, J.A. Williams Group LLC (formerly Artist Empowerment Group), in 2013 to advise creatives and business owners on entrepreneurship, scaling, revenue growth, and marketing. She believes owning your own business is a path to freedom, security, and authentic expression. Some of her clients have written New York Times best-selling books, been nominated for (or won) Grammys, been listed in the Billboard Top 100, Amazon, and Apple Music Top Album Charts, and received local and International acclaim. She’s been featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur, Fortune, Billboard, Goop, Black Enterprise, Marie TV, and The Root. She has spoken most notably at Facebook, LinkedIn, NYU, Essence Festival, Columbia, and Rent The Runway, amongst others. She was recently named one of the Top 40 Lawyers under 40 and Top 100 in the country by the National Black Lawyers and Intellectual Property & Business Attorney of the Year by Acquisition International in 2019. She’s an instructor for LinkedIn Learning, formerly Learn@Forbes. She is a Board Member of the LGBT Center in New York and UPI Loan Fund in Arizona. She's also a certified agent with the WNBA and licensed to practice law in New York and Texas.
