Publishing

Play Student-Made Games on Steam!

Each year, we commercially publish to the world student-made games developed by small student teams. Made in one semester, student Capstone Games are senior projects that represent the culmination of two years in game development education and are made in our Team Game Production course sequence. This TGP curriculum is designed to teach students how to make a game and send it to market, realistically mirroring industry-standard style and pace.

Since 2003, SMU Guildhall students have made over 675 team games. Of those, 30 games and DLCs have been released on the Steam platform, where they have garnered more than 4.35 million downloads and positive reviews by gamers worldwide.
