Amanda Wachuku
Amanda Wachuku is a President’s Scholar at Southern Methodist University majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering. She is on the pre-med track and pursuing a minor in Public Policy and International Affairs through the Tower Scholars Program. Amanda serves as a leader in the FOCUS ministry and as an officer in the Biomedical Engineering Society. She aspires to a career that integrates medicine, public policy, and ethical innovation in health technology, focusing on equitable access and responsible regulation of biomedical data and AI systems. In her spare moments, Amanda enjoys reading widely, using literature to explore new ideas and deepen her understanding of complex issues.
