Salma Saleh

Salma was born in Florida and raised in Dallas, Texas. She is double majoring in economics with finance applications and psychology, with minors in Arabic and public policy and international affairs through the Tower Scholars Program at SMU. Salma is a Founders Scholar, a Caswell Leadership Fellow, and a Peer Academic Leader. She also serves as the Vice President of Marketing for the Virginia-Snider Commons Council. Additionally, Salma fully operates and owns a consulting business that won first place in the SMU Entrepreneurship Start-Up Idea Contest. Her public policy interests include human rights and working toward the revision of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to address emerging issues like technology rights and the ethical use of AI. Upon graduation, Salma plans to pursue a career in consulting, gaining the experience necessary to eventually become a consultant for the United Nations.
