Kennedy is from Dallas, Texas and is majoring in Political Science and English with minors in Human Rights and Public Policy & International Affairs. She is a Rotunda, McNair, and Dallas County Mustang Scholar. Kennedy serves as the President of the Association of Black Students, a Dedman Senator in Student Senate, manager of the Student Affairs Undergraduate Research Team, student representative for the Vice President of Student Affairs Advisory board, and the student representative for the SMU PD Training Advisory Board. After graduating, she plans on attending law school to eventually become a criminal attorney. Her dream job is to become a Supreme Court Justice. Kennedy is interested in policy regarding the prison system, child poverty, and equitable education.
