Esau Williams
Esau Williams is a senior communications professional at the UK Civil Service with extensive experience in public service, strategic communications, and international broadcasting. He currently works in Whitehall, where he leads the development and delivery of government communication strategies, oversees media engagement, and manages public messaging.
Before joining the Civil Service, Mr. Williams spent over thirteen years with the BBC World Service, in editorial and presenting roles across a range of flagship global news programmes, including Newshour, Focus on Africa, The Newsroom, and The World Today. His contributions to international journalism have been recognised with industry honours, notably the Peabody Award for coverage of the 2014 Ebola outbreak.
Mr. Williams holds a Master of Arts in International Political Economy from King’s College London and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Politics with Philosophy from Royal Holloway, University of London. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Southern Methodist University, where he served as President of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
