Student stories

Sam Rodick visited the White House while he was pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Sam Rodick ’26

“Participating in the political science program at SMU has been personally and professionally rewarding. I have never left a course in the program without learning substantially more about its topic and without honing my analytical, writing and research skills. These skills have helped me be a better student and succeed in my work as a research assistant for the Center for Presidential History and in my internship at the George W. Bush Institute. I could not recommend participation in the program more highly for students, especially those who are interested in learning more about the law, public policy or global affairs.”
