Dissertation Title:
"I Do Not Have to Answer That": The Character Issue in American Politics
Luisa is a 4th year PhD candidate from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her research examines media coverage of presidential politics in the 1980s and 1990s. She is currently looking at Gary Hart's campaign for the democratic domination in 1987 and President Clinton's administration as case studies for how the issue of character came to dominate electoral politics in the late 20th century.
