Amy is a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology program at Southern Methodist University, focusing on archaeology. A graduate of Mississippi State University, she received BAs in Anthropology, History, and General Liberal Arts, with a minor in Linguistics. She is now concentrating on Conflict Archaeology during the Contact Era of North America, specifically the Great Plains region.
