Community Life as a Student at Perkins.

As a seminary student at Perkins School of Theology, you will experience a welcoming and diverse community where you and your uniqueness is valued. The Office of Student Life and Community Engagement offers warm hospitality and care for the community of students, faculty and staff of Perkins, where we study, learn, grow, worship and experience God together.

It’s our goal to create unique opportunities designed to cultivate connections with one another on campus or through hybrid learning, at Southern Methodist University, and the greater community. Whether it be through common meals, social events, programming and worship services, we want Perkins to feel like your home away from home.

Experience community beyond the formal classroom setting. At Perkins, encounter members of the community while participating in leadership development, vocational exploration and community building. We’re here to listen, connect, support and celebrate your life and the lives of all of our students, faculty and staff.

Creating unique opportunities that cultivate connections.
