Geoff Moore, President and COO of Envy Gaming, sees OP Live Dallas as a key opportunity to engage with local esports fans. As he explains, “The most important thing we can do as an esports organization is build a relationship with our fans. We want to be a pioneer in this effort and are excited to partner with like-minded organizations that support the growth of esports.

“As the only hometown esports team in Dallas, we’ll be looking for more and more opportunities to provide entertaining experiences to the local fan base in both the physical and digital realms. Signing on as a partner with OP Live Dallas is a great first step for us, as the Dallas Fuel prepare for season two in the Overwatch League and more and more of our competitive Team Envy teams become based here in DFW.”

According to Chris Stone, CEO of eGency Global, “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Team Envy and the Dallas Fuel as partners for OP Live Dallas. Along with being top esports competitors, the organization’s and players’ dedication to philanthropy and promoting diversity is unmatched in the esports industry.”

Envy Gaming’s staff and players are committed to giving back and regularly participate in philanthropic efforts to support major national charities or local organizations near and dear to the individuals’ hearts.

Says Moore, “It is in a gamer’s – or a gaming fan’s – DNA to be charitable. That’s actually how you’ve seen microtransactions like the bits program on Twitch grow in popularity: donating to one another. Team Envy streamer and Fortnite team captain KingRichard, as well as members of our Envy content team recently participated in GuardianCon 2018, an event that raised more than $2.7 million in charitable donations.”

Recently, OP Live Dallas announced its partnership with Extra LifeTM, a division of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®, which supports local children’s hospitals, including Children’s Health® in Dallas. Partnering with esteemed organizations like Envy Gaming and others is key to raising awareness about OP Live Dallas and boosting gamers’fundraising efforts. Money raised at OP Live Dallas will be donated to Extra LifeTM.

“When eGency Global and SMU Guildhall decided to launch OP Live Dallas, we wanted to create a one-of-a-kind event that gamers and fans would love, while supporting a local charity at the same time. We’re grateful that Team Envy and the Dallas Fuel will be joining us in this endeavor,” Stone says.
