Progress Report

In 2010-11 SMU commemorated the centennial of its founding and began a countdown to the 100th anniversary of its opening in 2015. The University's progress was marked by significant strides in a variety of areas, including enhancement of the quality of the student body, faculty and academic programs and the construction and renovation of campus buildings and facilities. The Second Century Campaign, the largest fundraising initiative in SMU history, continued to play a crucial role in enabling the University to move forward boldly, and by the end of the fiscal year SMU had received commitments for more than 70 percent of the campaign's financial goals.
