We’re excited to offer Pharmacy Services to a small pilot group—and Student Affairs is the lucky winner! 🎉 This pilot will be staff-only for now (no dependents or family members, sorry!), as we test things out.

We adhere to HIPAA regulations to safeguard your protected health information (PHI), including details about your medications.  Access is limited to authorized parties for treatment (e.g., doctors, nurses, and pharmacy staff coordinating your care) and payment (e.g., insurance providers for billing).  For full details, review our Notice of Privacy Practices here.

The pharmacy accepts most major prescription insurance plans, you don’t have to have SMU insurance to fill a prescription.

The Pharmacy accepts most major prescription insurance plans, including the University-sponsored plan.

No, we do not accept GoodRx.

We accept major credit cards, debit cards, FSA and HSA Cards. SMU is a cashless campus. Insurance co-pays can be processed directly if your plan is accepted.

Bring your prescription to the Pharmacy during operating hours, or have your prescriber call or send it electronically.

Yes, we can process refills for existing prescriptions. Contact us at (214) 768-2149 or email pharmacy@smu.edu to request a refill, and we'll notify you when it's ready for pickup.

Yes, you can visit the SMU Pharmacy page to fill out the transfer form or give our team a call at (214) 768-2149 and we will take care of it for you.

(It's helpful to have the prescription bottle handy as the pharmacy team will ask you questions about the information on the label.)

For the majority of prescriptions, we can order them for next day delivery to the Pharmacy. If ordered on Friday, the order would arrive at the Health Center on Monday.
