Deadline Procedure
2025 Holiday Deadline Information
In preparation for SMU’s Holiday Break, December 23, 2025 - January 1, 2026, the Office of Research & Innovation & Office of Grant & Contract Accounting will be closed starting 5 p.m. CST, Monday, December 22, 2025, and will re-open for business at 9 a.m. CST, Friday, January 2, 2026. SPA and GCA will not be available during Winter Break. The end of the year requests are as follows:
Sponsored Projects Administration
Proposals: All proposal initiation documents (PIAF, SOW, budget, and budget justification) should be received by Friday, December 5, 2025, for any remaining 2025 proposal submissions. Proposals will be submitted before the close of business on December 19, 2025. Please remember to send proposal initiation emails and documents to sponsoredprojects@smu.edu.

Grant & Contract Accounting
AAAFs/BCRs approved by Friday, December 12, 2025, will be entered into PeopleSoft.
Vendor and Subaward Invoices received by Grant & Contract Accounting by Monday, December 15, 2025, will be processed.
