Biography
Dr. Christopher Bray is a distinguished cognitive behavioral researcher, keynote speaker, and author. As the CEO and founder of the Adaption Institute, Dr. Bray leads a pioneering research-based firm dedicated to delivering science-backed solutions for organizational transformation. Alongside a talented team of neuroscientists, behavioral change experts, and university-affiliated researchers, Dr. Bray focuses on the skills and capabilities needed for employee and organization peak performance, change/adaption, and resilience / thriving in the 21st-century world of work. Dr. Bray also researches and speaks on optimizing brain health in the workplace. His work is at the forefront of integrating neuroscience into practical applications that boost employee resilience, productivity, performance, and overall well-being.
Since 2002, Dr. Bray has collaborated with Fortune 500 organizations and numerous tech startups, bringing innovative solutions to various organizational issues. His extensive corporate experience includes a 16-year tenure at Pfizer and Baxter, where he concluded his career as Senior Global Vice President of Organizational Development & Effectiveness.
Dr. Bray has a Ph.D. in Organizational & Adult Development and a second Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational psychology with a concentration in the cognitive sciences (ABD). He also earned an MBA. In addition to his corporate and consultancy work, Dr. Bray is a researcher and faculty member at the Harvard Brain Health Initiative and a Lecturer at the Geneva School of Longevity. (Switzerland)
An accomplished author, Dr. Bray recently released his third book in July 2024 titled, “Your First 90 Days Managing People: A New Manager's Guide to Impactful Leadership,” in July. His first book, "Best Job Ever," was a USA Today bestseller. His second book, "How to Raise Remarkable Kids Without Talking to Them," was released in December 2021. His forthcoming book, “Outsmart! Your Brain at Work,” will be published in the summer of 2025.
Dr. Bray resides in Arizona with his wife and six children. He is an ice cream connoisseur, tennis and pickleball fanatic, and ten years (8,000 hours) away from being a concert pianist.
