    Your application, supporting documents and personal interview are all very important to us, but most of all, we want to get to know you.     Application Requirements for ALL Applicants

    • Submit online application
    • Resume and Essays – uploaded in the online application (questions are available after creating and logging in to your online application and selecting MS in Business Analytics as the program applying to)
    • GMAT or GRE score report (from exam taken within the last five years) - Application can be reviewed with unofficial score report uploaded online. Official score report should be submitted after a student is offered admission (SMU Cox GMAT school code: HWG-KN-59 and GRE school code: 6660). For 2022 entry terms, SMU Cox will continue a test-optional policy for all MBA and Specialized Masters programs.     • Transcripts - Application can be reviewed with unofficial transcripts or degree progress reports showing cumulative GPA and grades for each course taken; Official transcripts are REQUIRED after a student is offered admission.
    • Transfer Transcripts - We require transcripts from any university/college at which the student earned 12 or more credit hours; Unofficial copies can be uploaded online; Official transfer transcripts are REQUIRED after a student is offered admission.
    • Two references (name & contact information only - recommendation letters NOT required)
    • You may submit the online application prior to completing the required exams, but your application will not be reviewed until all materials are received

    Application Requirements for International Students

    SMU Cox understands the continuation of health and travel restrictions related to COVID-19 remain uncertain for the coming months. For International students who are unable to join us when the program starts in August 2020, due to visa or travel issues, we will be providing classes through our virtual classrooms with asynchronous and synchronous (live sessions) for the first quarter (Fall Mod A), and possibly the first semester (Fall Mod A and Fall Mod B) based on visa backlogs. We will also be extending the program for these students through summer 2021 to enable them to be eligible for Optional Practical Training (OPT). Please contact the program Director, Hettie Tabor with questions.

    • All applicants whose native language is not English may submit either a TOEFL, IELTS or PTE Score Report to meet the English language proficiency requirement. Test scores are valid for up to two years (from test date to date of application). SMU Cox TOEFL institution code: 6660. For 2022 entry terms, SMU Cox will continue a test-optional policy for all MBA and Specialized Masters programs.     • The TOEFL/IELTS/PTE may be waived if at least one of the following conditions is met:
      • You will hold or currently hold an undergraduate and/or prior graduate degree from a college or university where English is the official language of instruction.
      • You have lived and worked full-time in the U.S. or in a country where English is the official language for at least two of the past four years.
      • You scored at or above the 80th percentile on the verbal section of the GMAT or GRE exam.

    *This estimated total is based on a 9-month school year for the 2020-21 academic year. The cost may be more or less depending on the student's lifestyle, whether the student lives on-campus or off-campus and whether any family members accompany the student.

    Students enrolling in the program on a part-time basis are charged per credit hour. The 2020-2021 academic year per credit hour costs for the part-time program include $1,353 for tuition, $285 in general student fees plus the $750 per term program fee and mandatory $50 per term health center fee.
