Allison Larkin began teaching at SMU in 2014 and is a Lecturer of Spanish, the Director of Second Language Assessment, and the Assistant Director of SMU-in-Madrid (2018-present). As the Director of Assessment, she also serves as the Chair of the World Languages and Literatures Pedagogy Committee. Prof. Larkin is the designer and coordinator of the the First-Year Spanish online curriculum, and served as the departmental coordinator of First-Year Spanish from 2015-2020. She received the Rotunda Outstanding Professor Award in 2018. She loves teaching Spanish language and culture at all levels.
