Placement and Graduation Rates

Placement

Most of our candidates for the Graduate Program in Religious Studies hope to eventually instruct in a college, university, or theological seminary. The majority of our alumni work in academia. Others have secured positions of leadership in various religious organizations and related professions.

A prevailing priority of universities that aim towards excellence is to maintain high standards in graduate education. Universities will thus seek graduate students with merit. The Graduate Program in Religious Studies takes pride in producing students with distinction. All the same, those who are thinking about an academic career should consider the competitive job market and base their decision on the underlying virtue and allure of such a quest.
