Student Academic Engagement & Success (SAES) offers a variety of programs and opportunities designed to engage students in the curriculum and to enhance the academic experience. National Student Fellowships

National Student Fellowships helps SMU undergraduate and graduate students apply for external, nationally-competitive fellowships, scholarships and awards such as the Rhodes, Marshall, Fulbright, Mitchell, Truman, Goldwater, Udall, Guggenheim, and many others.

Engaged Learning

The Office of Engaged Learning enhances SMU's undergraduate education with experiential learning opportunities in research and entrepreneurship. The office hosts the following programs: the Engaged Learning Fellowship, Undergraduate Research Assistantships, Big iDeas, and Clinton Global Initiative University. We operate the Incubator@SMU, coordinate the Mustang Mentors program, and are a key partner in the Engage Dallas program.

Student Academic Engagement & Success offers a wide array of honors and scholars programs for SMU students. We offer dynamic experiences that will immediately stretch your thinking through unique academic opportunities, interactive and interdisciplinary seminars, and hands-on activities.
