Office of Enrollment Management

Margot Perez-Greene
Associate Dean of Enrollment Management

(214) 768-3332
Selecman Hall 113

I’m Margot Perez-Greene and have the privilege of leading a team of passionate recruitment and admissions personnel who arrive at the office every day looking for ways to help make theological education possible and the process seamless. They understand the complexities that range from call to ministry to reorganizing one’s life to answer the call. I am an Elder in The United Methodist Church and have been in higher education for more years than I wish to disclose! I’ve been a Hilltopper (St. Edward’s University, Austin), Sun Devil (Arizona State University, Tempe), Longhorn (University of Texas at Austin), and a Mustang (2011 Perkins grad). I, too, am passionate about doing whatever it takes to ease the admissions and registration process. And, when I’m not fulfilling my responsibilities at Perkins, I’m enjoying cooking, reading, art, shopping, traveling, and being with family and friends.

Stephen Bagby
Director of Recruitment and Admissions

(214) 768-2139
Selecman Hall 112

In my role as Director of Recruitment and Admissions, I have the pleasure of meeting prospective students, hearing about their calls to ministry, and helping them through the admissions process. One of my greatest joys is calling applicants to let them know they’ve been accepted to Perkins School of Theology! When I’m not at Perkins, I’m often engaged in the never-ending task of yardwork. My two little boys “help” in various ways, while my lovely wife plans her outdoor time carefully based on the Texas weather, especially since we’re expecting our third child in February! Our family enjoys regular excursions to Dallas’ finest Tex-Mex restaurant, Taco Bueno, and we love to chase it down with caramel ice cream. In the evenings, I enjoy hanging out with my wife, and reading literature and theology. If you have free time, please come by and say ‘Hi’ to our team in Selecman 112!

Yazmin Strauss
Recruitment and Admissions Specialist

(214) 768-2293
Selecman Hall 112

I’m Yazmin (Yaz if you’re feeling jazzy), your Admissions & Recruitment Specialist, brought to you all the way from Pennsylvania. I’m here to help you complete and move through the application process as seamlessly as possible. When I’m not working with applications I’m either planning for our events, shopping for office goods, or doing administrative work within our systems. During lunch hours you can usually catch me at the campus gym. Outside of work, I’m either running around White Rock Lake with my daughter afoot, exploring the city, or painting in my art room. I’m committed to my Office of Enrollment Management team and passionate about helping students enter into their calling. Stop by Selecman Hall 112, call, or email me and I’ll happily assist you.

John Lowery
Ministry Discernment Associate

(214) 768-3385
Selecman Hall 216A

I’m John, one of your Ministry Discernment Specialists. If you’re currently a student, hopefully we’ve already met at your undergraduate institution and shared a meal and a laugh! I travel extensively throughout the U.S. meeting prospective students and chatting with them about the call to vocational ministry in its various forms, as well as the diverse and inspiring learning environment of Perkins School of Theology. Having earned a degree in theological education in a similar learning environment in Aberdeen (Scotland), I’m passionate about sharing with prospective students how critical such an environment is to personal growth and future ministries. In my free time I enjoy gardening, reading the works of long-dead novelists, and trying to keep up with my two young children. Additionally, having spent the greater part of the previous decade in the United Kingdom, my relocation to North Texas is a welcomed change as an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, as I no longer have to watch games in the wee hours of the morning.

Caleb Palmer
Ministry Discernment Associate

(214) 768-2292
Selecman Hall 210A

Hello from the road! If I am not in the office, I am likely on a college campus or in a far, distant city, talking with students and connecting with the community. Theological education is big decision and as a Ministry Discernment Associate, I help students discover, own, and implement their call. But if I am not deep in a conversation about faith and theology, I’ve got my nose in a book. I do enjoy a good film and it is always nice to get outdoors. If I am in town, my door is always open! So, let’s grab a cup of coffee sometime, I’m looking forward to it!

Jon Herrin
Recruitment & Admission Associate

(214) 347-9924

I’m Jon Herrin, and it’s a joy to be an admissions coordinator in the amazing work and ministry that the Perkins School of Theology is doing here…and around the world. Theological education has shaped my life in amazing ways, and I’m excited about guiding and encouraging others who are setting out on this life-changing path. My particular area of focus is the Master of Theology in Spanish program. This work allows me to bring together 15 years of parish service, seven years of mission service in Latin America, and my passion for education, a passion revealed in one bachelor’s degree, four master’s degrees, and a doctorate! My wife, Jeanne, and I have been married almost 30 years, and we have three amazing grown children who make us very proud. My hobbies and interests are linguistics, public speaking, hiking, reading, and espresso!
