Christopher Walton grew up in Fredericksburg, Texas and has loved learning about history since an early age. His interests now cluster around the intersection between history, political theory, and Christian theology in the American colonial and revolutionary eras. He is particularly interested in studying Presbyterian ministers between the First Awakening and the Revolution, focusing on how they interacted with the political. Christopher holds a Bachelors of Arts from Whitefield College in Philosophy/American History & Government and a Masters of American Studies from the University of Dallas. Christopher Walton entered the PhD program at SMU in Fall 2019.
