Housing
Once you've been admitted into our program, you're ready to begin searching for housing. Starting in Fall 2020, we will be located on the SMU campus in Dallas, TX. Dallas is recognized as one of the birthplaces of the video game industry and is home to a vibrant gaming community including 40+ AAA and indie development studios.
The Dallas area offers affordable housing, top restaurants, great shopping and entertainment just around the corner from our campus.
Local Apartments
We do not have on-campus housing available, but there are ample apartment communities nearby, many of which are on our campus transportation line. Download the graduate student housing guide for useful tips and information about living close to campus.
Transportation
Those who do not have a vehicle often carpool with classmates, ride their bike to campus, or take the SMU Mustang Express (SMU bus line) to campus. You also have access to the local DART bus and rail system. DART map
Additionally, services like Uber and Lyft are often helpful for traveling around the area.
