Athletes as scholars
The graduation rate of SMU athletes is 78%, compared to the national Division I-A rate of about 58% as reported by the NCAA. We’re committed to excellence in the halls of learning and on the fields of play. Athletes participate in the PALS program (Prepared Achievers for Lifetime Success), which prepares them for future careers and offers alcohol and other drug-risk education classes.
