Rubbing elbows, running laps,
making
a difference
In between studying and more studying, there’s always time to discover
new interests. Take in a lecture by a visiting national leader.
Join the soccer club. Work on the school newspaper or try mastering
judo. SMU offers hundreds of activities to help you
explore, learn, and lead
– right here on campus.
Get involved. SMU offers nearly 200
organizations, and at least one of them has your name on
its roster. Whether you choose to serve or to lead, campus organizations
develop team-building skills that are critical for success in all
professions.
If you’re interested in cultural events, you’re in luck. SMU hosts
more than 500 performances, concerts, and
exhibits every
year.
Interested in hearing a former president, prime minister, or other
world leader? They come for the Willis
M. Tate Distinguished Lecture Series, which features an afternoon
forum for students. You also can learn from acclaimed choreographers,
directors, actors, and musicians, like Wynton Marsalis, who visit
campus for special programs.
