Consultation and Outreach Services

Counseling and Psychiatric Services staff members are available for consultation with individual students and student groups with regard to developing and implementing workshops, seminars, and class presentations. Campus organizations may also use consultations services for assistance in needs assessment, goal setting, as well as staff development and training activities. Some examples of workshops and skill enhancement programs which have been offered include:

  • Study skills enhancement
  • Assertiveness training
  • Human sexuality issues
  • Date rape
  • Multicultural sensitivity
  • Interpersonal issues
  • Eating disorders
  • Easing the transition to college
  • Facts about depression
  • Helping skills for housing staff
