Using rap music to explain economic theory
Russ Roberts, a research fellow at the Hoover Institution and a George Mason economics professor, will be the first speaker in the new William J. O’Neil Center for Global Markets and Freedom Speakers Series on February 14 at the Crum Auditorium in the Collins Center at SMU Cox.
Russ Roberts is a research fellow at the Hoover Institution and a George Mason economics professor who specializes in helping those of us who aren’t economists understand economics. Roberts will be the first speaker in the new William J. O’Neil Center for Global Markets and Freedom Speakers Series sponsored by Andrews Distributing on Tuesday, February 14 at the Crum Auditorium in the Collins Center at SMU Cox. A continental breakfast will be served at 8:30am, followed by the lecture at 9:30am. There is no cost for either and the event will be geared to students.
Roberts has written and produced two rap videos that highlight the contrasting philosophies of economists John Maynard Keynes, who advocated active policy responses by the public sector, and Friedrich Hayek, who advocated free market capitalism.
