Regarding Wednesday's bombings in India and SMU students

Currently 11 SMU graduate students, with four faculty members, are traveling in India as part of their studies. None of the students or faculty were in Mumbai at the time of Wednesday's explosions. All are accounted for and are safe.

SMU officials are remaining in contact with the faculty sponsors and the U.S. Department of State to monitor the situation and determine if any assistance is needed, or if changes to their itinerary will be necessary.
