Adjunct Lecturer
Gordon, who in his real life is president of two companies – L2 (a full-service advertising agency) and Marketing & Media Partners (a consultancy) – is honored to be an adjunct instructor at SMU where he has taught Advertising Media since 2011.
Earlier in his career, Gordon served as Vice President of Media & Communication Planning at Slingshot; Partner/Client Service & Media Director at Numantra, originally known as TaylorLaw Advertising, which he co-founded in 2001; General Manager of Bozell Kamstra/Austin; Principal/Director of Media Strategy at Hadeler Sullivan & Law; and Senior Vice President/Director of Client Services at Keller Crescent Company. Gordon also worked for Backer Spielvogel, Grey Advertising and Moroch & Associates.
Gordon was a member of the Dallas Advertising League board of directors for six years, serving as president from 1993-1994; the board of directors of the Dallas All Sports Association for seven years, serving as president in 2002; and the Journalism Department Advisory Council at the University of North Texas for five years where he also served as an adjunct instructor. Gordon currently serves St. Rita Catholic School as president of the School Advisory Council and is the immediate past president of the Dads Club.
A Tulsa native and Oklahoma State University graduate, Gordon is married to SMU graduate Lauren Law. They have two great kids, Savannah, 25, and Nick, nine.
