The Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony
honors outstanding leaders in philanthropy, business and civic life with the
highest honor the University can bestow upon its graduates. Hosted by President
R. Gerald Turner and the SMU Alumni Board, the 2024 ceremony will honor Jorge L Baldor ’93; Kelly Hoglund Compton ’79; The Hon. Terry R. Means ’70; 2024 Emerging Leader Award Recipient Trent D. Redden ’06; and Distinguished Honorary Alumni Award Recipient Caren H. Prothro.
Alumni can participate in tours of SMU’s campus landmarks and new additions like the redesigned Meadows School of the Arts.
We are excited to welcome the classes of 1979, 1984, 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014 and 2019 this year!

The affinity alumni boards: Asian Pacific Islander Alumni of SMU, Black Alumni of SMU and Latino Alumni of SMU will host annual Homecoming happy hours and tailgates on the Boulevard to connect with current students and alumni.
The Homecoming Parade 2024 theme is “Board Games/Game On SMU”.
Reunion Village is excited to welcome undergraduate alumni and their families, including those celebrating their reunion years. Attendees can enjoy food, beverages, games and children’s activities. There is something for SMU fans of all ages.
