About
Stephanie L. Ford is an experienced early childhood education professional currently serving as an ECOS Research Assistant at Southern Methodist University’s Center on Research and Evaluation (CORE). In this role, she contributes to early learning research and observation initiatives focused on improving instructional quality and advancing educational equity.
With nearly three decades of experience in education, Stephanie has served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, project manager, and professional development leader. She began her career teaching grades K–4 before transitioning into district-level leadership. As a PreK–2 Lead Instructional Specialist in Dallas ISD, she supervised a team of specialists, conducted classroom observations, and provided individualized coaching to strengthen early literacy and teacher-child interactions.
In her previous role as Project Manager III, Stephanie led the design and implementation of professional development, supported instructional coordinators, and oversaw district-wide learning systems. Her expertise spans PreK–2 best practices, professional learning, instructional coaching, and data-driven instructional improvement.
Stephanie holds an M.Ed. in Educational Administration from Concordia University Texas and a B.S. in Law Enforcement from Prairie View A&M University. She remains committed to supporting young learners and the educators who serve them through research-based strategies and equitable learning practices.
