How to...

  1. Find your professional advisor

    Your professional advisor contact information can be found in your my.SMU Student Dashboard. Click on Advisor Information within the Academics section on the left-hand side of the page. Your current professional advisor and their contact information will appear. This information is updated automatically if it changes.

  2. Book an appointment

    All professional advisors have a booking link available in Booking.SMU. Log in and choose your advisor from the list.

  3. Prepare for your meeting

    To prepare for a meeting with your professional academic advisor, review your degree requirements and degree planner. Please bring a list of questions or topics you'd like to discuss, such as course planning, career goals, or academic challenges. Be ready to share updates about your progress and any concerns so your advisor can provide tailored guidance and support.
