The Financial Literacy Program at SMU provides you with the tools necessary to build your financial capability in the areas of budgeting, consumer credit, financial planning, investing, managing risk, and other topics. Managing money is an essential part of your daily life and we encourage you to be well informed. Our goal is to provide you with timely, relevant resources to be well prepared to manage your own budget, bank account, assets and debt.
The program is in the Office of the University Bursar and is specifically designed to provide you with the knowledge and tools so you can make informed financial decisions. We understand as students become more independent during the transition to college it is important they begin making their own decisions that will impact their financial journey. We offer a variety of workshopsand also one-on-one sessions by appointment.
