Mother and Son Celebrate Graduation Together at SMU

A shared dream years in the making will become reality on May 16 when Melissa Escher and her son, Jordan, graduate together from SMU. After returning to college to finish the sociology degree she first began more than a decade ago, Melissa found encouragement and inspiration from her children — especially Jordan, who also transferred to SMU to complete his own degree.

Their story is a testament to perseverance, family support, and the power of never giving up on your goals.
