Scholarships

SMU awards millions of dollars in scholarship each year. As an incoming student, you are automatically reviewed for those scholarships when you apply to SMU.

Scholarships for incoming students from the Cox School are limited to students selected as BBA Scholars. These scholarships are normally renewable for up to four years, provided the recipient maintains full time enrollment, a 3.00 GPA, and a business major.

To be considered for these scholarships, applicants must have listed a business major as their first academic interest on the SMU application for admission, and must be selected for the BBA Scholars Program.

Additionally, there are scholarship opportunities available for upper-class Cox students. These scholarships have a variety of donor-specified criteria which may include grade point average, major, career interest, volunteer work, community service, and/or hometown. Students are encouraged to meet with their BBA Academic Advisor if they have questions about scholarship options for current BBA students.
