Eligibility

We break down each of the eligibility requirements to be a Mustang Scholar at SMU:

To be eligible to be apart of the Mustang Scholars Program at SMU, prospective students must:

• Graduation from a public, private or charter high school located in Dallas County (Texas)
• Posses Texas residency
• Complete FAFSA and receive verification of Pell Grant eligibility (as defined by the FAFSA or the equivalent demonstrated as defined by the TASFA).
• Additional eligibility requirements for the Mustang Promise Scholarship
• Priority given to students with a cumulative “A” average (3.500 GPA) in grades 9-12
