Scholarships and Awards

Scholarships
Currently there are two scholarship funds in the Psychology Department:

1) The Douglas D. & Ferne Center Family Scholarship
Requirements: Requirements: Psychology Major, minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and a rising senior.

2) The Phillip H. Rosenfield Endowed Fund
Requirements: A psychology major and minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

Students interested in applying for a scholarship should contact one of the Directors of Undergraduate Studies.

Awards
Each year, the faculty votes on two undergraduate awards.

Award for Outstanding Research by an Undergraduate in Psychology
This award is presented to a student who has demonstrated remarkable interest, aptitude, and accomplishments in conducting research in the department.

Psychology Department Senior Award for Outstanding Performance
In addition to being a senior, the criteria for this award includes: having a GPA 3.5 or higher, being involved in research, and planning to pursue a career that is related to psychology.
