About Us
The mission of the University Payroll Office is to pay the employees of SMU accurately and in a timely fashion. Our areas of responsibility include:
- Compensation payments to all SMU employees
- Payroll tax withholding and deposits
- Direct deposits for payroll payments
- Job records for student, temporary, and adjunct employees
- Taxation and reporting of all payments to foreign nationals
- Year-end reporting (Forms W-2 and 1042S)
- Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as university policies
