DALLAS (SMU) – Is theological education possibly in your future?

All prospective degree and non-degree students are invited to attend Inside Perkins, a free information session offered by Perkins School of Theology, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1. This will be the final Inside Perkins event in 2016.

Inside Perkins participants will have an opportunity to engage with students and faculty, attend a presentation by Dr. Roy Heller, Associate Professor of Old Testament, tour the school’s facilities and learn more about admissions and financial aid. Additionally, attendees can discover more and inquire about Perkins’ Global Theological Education and Intern programs as well as take part in a panel with current students.

Participants also will have seating at the Perkins Christmas Worship Service as a part of the Inside Perkins event at 4 p.m. in Perkins Chapel.

Two important reminders: the deadline to be considered for merit-based scholarships is February 1, 2017, and all applicants who submit a completed application before March 1, 2017, will receive a fee waiver.

“We consider it a privilege anytime we can host potential students at Perkins and interact with them on their journey of a deeper understanding of faith and ministry,” said William Jennings Bryan III, Associate Dean of Student Affairs at Perkins School of Theology. “The programs and offerings we have at Perkins certainly will prepare individuals for any of a wide range of positions in ministry.”

Visit the Perkins School of Theology website for more information about Inside Perkins as well as to register for the program. If you have additional questions about Inside Perkins or admission applications, contact Herbert Coleman, Director of Recruitment and Admissions, at hcoleman@smu.edu or 214-768-2139.
