Erik "EJ" Rorem

EJ is from Plano, Texas and is double majoring in Political Science and Statistical Science with a minor in Public Policy and International Affairs through the Tower Scholars Program. EJ is a Dedman Scholar, SMU Provost Scholar, and a member of the University Honors Program, as well as a recipient of the Sumner Foundation’s At-Large Scholarship. EJ works as a research intern at the Center for Presidential History at SMU, a copy editor at the student-run Hilltopics honors magazine, and is interning with Pointe Bello, a private intelligence firm, this semester. EJ has been selected for both the Defense Department’s Boren Scholarship and the State Department’s Critical Language Scholarship, through which he studied Persian/Farsi in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. EJ hopes to work as a foreign policy analyst in the federal government, specializing in U.S.-Iran relations.
