ASA DataFest at SMU (8th Annual)

Event description:
SMU is hosting its 8th Annual ASA DataFest from March 27–29, 2025. This is a weekend-long data analysis competition where teams of undergraduate students work intensively to uncover insights from a surprise, real-world dataset. Teams of undergraduate students from any Texas university (with any level of statistical training) are welcome to participate. Food and t-shirts will be provided at no cost throughout the event.
Who can participate?
- Undergraduate students from any Texas university
- Teams of 2–5 students
- Individuals can also sign up as a Free Agent and be placed on a team

Volunteers needed:
We are welcoming volunteers to serve as judges, mentors, and break-out presenters. Volunteers may include faculty members at other institutions, practicing statisticians, or anyone with significant analytical experience.
