Laura is a First Gen, PhD student at Southern Methodist University. She completed her BA and MA at the University of Texas at San Antonio and studies twentieth century Texas and U.S. history, with a focus on the Chicano Movement and Mexican Revolution. Her research interests are geared towards the intersections of gender, race, and class in Chicana feminist activism, as well as the Mexican Revolution’s impact on memory and Mexican American social movements.
