I am a PhD candidate at Southern Methodist University whose research focuses on past lived experiences of childhood in historic American Frontier contexts. My dissertation research is aimed towards comprehending the relationship between parents, children, and frontier contexts in the enculturation process and how alterations in this relationship are reflected in childhood material culture. Historical sites in the states of Colorado and New Mexico are included in my research.
Prior to attending SMU, I have worked for several CRM firms and was a field director at the Fort Massachusetts Archaeological Field School.
