The SMU Geothermal Lab analyzes samples for their thermal conductivity using the following equipment:
• divided-bar thermal conductivity measurement apparatus
• a needle probe measurement device
The ideal raw material for analysis is full core, but conductivity can be also measured from half core or cuttings samples.
