Resource Libraries

The Engage Dallas Resource Libraries support an exploratory study of the South and West Dallas communities to better inform students, faculty, and staff of the history of these communities, certain social problems and how they uniquely manifest there, and how resident needs have evolved.

The purpose of the resource libraries it is to aid understanding and empathy for the South and West Dallas communities in order to provide more effective and passionate service.

Explore and engage with our community-identified needs library, where you will be able to interact with each social problem in depth.

For each social problem, there will be a category to explore a different aspect of the problem. For the Listen & Learn category, you will have access to short videos that help you gain a new understanding about the social problem. In Watch & Reflect, you will experience a more in-depth video or podcast that offers more context and an extensive dive into the social problem. For Explore & Understand, you will have access to a self-paced, individual learning experience, such as web resources, digital tools, and articles. For Learn More, dive into articles/publications and nonprofit resources linked about the selected social problem.
