Leadership Development

We're Engineering Tomorrow's Leaders

The Hart Center believes that leadership training produces exceptionally valuable engineers. Use these resources to become a world-changing leader.

Hart Leadership Assessment

The Hart Center partnered with the Center for Creative Leadership to create the Hart Leadership Program, which helps students maximize leadership development through three phases: Assess, Challenge and Support. The first step in the program is for students to take the Hart Leadership Assessment and meet with the Hart Center team to review results and create a Personal Development Plan. At the end of the first year, students may take the Hart Leadership Follow-Up Assessment to measure improvement and update and refine their goals and strategies. There is also an option for teams to review their performance and receive feedback through the Hart Leadership Team & Peer Review Assessment. Ice Cream Bash

The Ice Cream Bash is the annual back-to-school event at Lyle, occurring every fall semester on the first day of classes. New and returning students gather to enjoy ice cream, meet other students and mingle with engineering faculty and staff. SEJC members can reserve a table to promote their student organizations.

Student Engineering Joint Council

The Student Engineering Joint Council (SEJC) is a collection of officers representing all Lyle student organizations. SEJC membership status is automatically given to each group, enabling them to participate in events and receive financial support from the Hart Center. Current student groups need not apply; however, new organizations are encouraged to contact the Hart Center for membership information.
