VITA Training Sessions
There are VITA training sessions (in-person, hybrid, and virtual) offered by the Dallas Community Tax Centers. You may study on your own, or attend one of the VITA training sessions. Either way you will receive a maximum of 8 hours for the VITA training and taking the 3 tests. The Advanced Test is the difficult test and what the training sessions will cover.
In order to sign up for the in-person or virtual training sessions, law students will need to create an IRS VITA account and complete the 2 short tests: Volunteer Standards of Conduct; and Intake/Interview and Quality Review. Website: https://linklearntaxescertification.com/dashboard
